Our Wedding

Alex and Andrew first crossed paths late summer 2019 in San Antonio. After some cheeky back and forth banter, numbers were exchanged and a first date finally took place in the form of drinks, and then drinks turned into dinner, and dinner into dessert. Andrew was even brave enough to try Alex’s baking, and he has had to pretend to like it ever since. Their long distance relationship took off. It was only six months later that the world shut down and Andrew and Alex decided to quarantine together and their whirlwind romance continued. Nearly two years later, Alex and Andrew are now living in Dallas and are continuing their greatest adventure yet: marriage. Andrew popped the question in the most appropriate way, on the balcony at the lake house while they were in their bathing suits! Alex cried (of course) and Jax thought the ring was a gift for him. We are so looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people.

Directions to Resort

From Austin Airport (approx. 1hr.)&nbsp;Take Airport Exit to Hwy 71 West. Drive approximately 45 miles to Highway 281 at which point you will cross over the Hwy 281 overpass. Stay on Hwy 71 West for approximately 5.9 miles until you see the sign for Horseshoe Bay Resort. Turn right onto Summit Rock Blvd. Continue 1.9 miles and take a right onto FM 2147. Go 2.3 miles and turn left onto Horseshoe Bay Blvd. Follow the circle drive around to the left toward the hotel main entrance. Take your second left into the hotel tower main entrance.&nbsp; From San Antonio Airport (approx. 1.5hrs.)&nbsp;From the airport via Loop 410 West - Approximately one-half mile on Loop 410 access road and you will pick up Hwy 281 North (Johnson City). Take 281 North toward Marble Falls (approximately 90 miles). Take exit Hwy 71 W (Llano). Stay on Hwy 71 West for approximately 5.9 miles until you see the sign for Horseshoe Bay Resort. Turn right onto Summit Rock Blvd. Continue 1.9 miles and take a right onto FM 2147. Go 2.3 miles and turn left onto Horseshoe Bay Blvd. Follow the circle drive around to the left toward the hotel main entrance. Take your second left into the hotel tower main entrance.&nbsp; From Dallas (approx. 4hrs.)&nbsp;Take IH 35 South to Georgetown. Exit on Hwy 29 West to Burnet. Take Hwy 281 South to Marble Falls. Go through Marble Falls and cross over the bridge. Turn right on FM 2147 at the first light after the bridge. Go approximately 5.25 miles to the main entrance to the resort, and take a right onto Horseshoe Bay Blvd. Follow the circle drive around to the left toward the hotel main entrance. Take your second left into the hotel tower main entrance. ﻿From Houston (approx. 4hrs.)&nbsp;Take Interstate 10 to Columbus. At Columbus, take Hwy 71 and stay on Hwy 71 West through Austin. Drive approximately 50 miles, at which point you will cross over the Hwy 281 overpass. Stay on Hwy 71 West for approximately 5.9 miles until you see the sign for Horseshoe Bay Resort. Turn right onto Summit Rock Blvd. Continue 1.9 miles and take a right onto FM 2147. Go 2.3 miles and turn left onto Horseshoe Bay Blvd. Follow the circle drive around to the left toward the hotel main entrance. Take your second left into the hotel tower main entrance.

Is there a dress code? 

Black tie optional.We kindly ask that no one wear jeans or shorts.

How do I RSVP?

Do I need to RSVP?

Whether you are able to attend our wedding or not, please RSVP. If you do not RSVP, we will assume you are unable to attend.

Are children invited?

While we adore your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the children at home so you can celebrate with us.

Is the event outdoors? 

The wedding ceremony will be outdoors on the venue's lawn (weather permitting). The reception will take place indoors. There is transportation taking our guests from each location.

May I bring a plus one?

We addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one they will appear on your invitation's envelope. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Can I take pictures? 

We are having an unplugged ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away during the ceremony. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! We promise to share ceremony photos with you as soon as we get them.
