Our Wedding

How It All Began Once upon a time—well, about 11 years ago—Alex and Richele were both students at Western University. Though they shared the same campus, their paths couldn't have been more different. Alex was at King’s College, spending his days playing football and... let’s just say, fully enjoying the social scene. Richele, meanwhile, was studying Nursing at Western—focused on her future (but if we’re being honest, also fully enjoying the party life).The odds of them ever crossing paths? Not great.But fate had other plans. On one sunny Saturday afternoon, she decided to catch a Western football game. While watching from the stands, something (or rather, someone) caught her eye—a huge guy with long hair running around the field. There was something about him she couldn’t quite shake. Later that night, Richele went to The Ceeps (the best bar in town) to celebrate (and maybe, just maybe, to find that mystery man). As fate would have it, Alex was already at the bar when he noticed a stunning girl walk in. “Way out of my league,” he thought—but nothing a couple of ‘encouragement beverages’ couldn’t fix.Eventually, Alex worked up the courage to say hello. To Richele’s surprise, the guy approaching her looked a lot like the one from the field earlier. Could it be him? They introduced themselves and started chatting.Feeling confident, Alex offered to buy her a drink. Richele—playing it cool—politely declined. Alex wasn’t surprised. After all, he did think she was way out of his league. Still, they talked for a while, until eventually, Alex faded back into the crowd—possibly never to be seen again.But the night wasn’t over yet. A little later, Richele headed to another bar called “Jacks”, with her friends. As she waited in line, who should stroll right past her and straight into the bar? Yep—Alex. Richele watched him go and thought, Hmm… maybe I should give that guy a second chance. As the night came to a close and Richele stepped outside, there he was again—Alex. At that very same moment, he looked up and saw her. Their eyes met. And in that instant, something sparked.With a new wave of confidence (or possibly the same encouragement beverages), Alex called out to Richele (or did she call out to him? This will forever be up for debate). What we do know is that Alex asked her the most important question of the night:“Do you want to get some pizza?”Richele, clearly a woman of priorities, thought: Well... I am hungry.And the rest, as they say, is history. Fast Forward 11 Years...We're so excited to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.Thank you for being part of our journey—and our wedding!

Hamilton's annual Supercrawl (an outdoor art and music festival held in downtown Hamilton), will be going on throughout the day, evening, and night of September 13th. James Street North will be closed for this event. Please plan extra time to travel to the venue. We wanted to give you the heads up, as we have been told this is a busy outdoor event!
