Getting to Victoria/Esquimalt

We are on an island! There are two ways to get to us: Plane or Boat.

Plane

If you are traveling by plane, we highly recommend flying into Victoria International Airport (YYJ) as your final destination. It's only about a 30 minute drive/cab ride to downtown Victoria. Please note that Google flights will sometimes show you flights to Vancouver when you search for flights to Victoria.

If you would like to spend a couple of days in Vancouver during your travels, it may make sense to fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). To get to Victoria from Vancouver, you can take B.C. Ferries from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (reservations highly recommended), a seaplane flight on Harbour Air, or a conventional flight from YVR to YYJ.

Boat

If you are driving to meet us, you will need to take one of two car ferries.

The Vancouver-Victoria car ferry: B.C. Ferries from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (reservations highly recommended). It's possible to take this ferry as a foot passenger, just note that the public transit options to Vancouver and Victoria will take about one hour on each end.

The Port Angeles-Victoria car ferry: If you're driving through the U.S. it may make more sense to take The Coho from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria. The great thing about this ferry is that it drops you off in the heart of James Bay, Victoria, which is close to downtown.
