Our story begins with two single individuals stuck in the nightmare of online dating. Alex had been on so many first dates with frog after frog, but no prince was in sight. While a few encounters were hilarious to recall, she was getting tired and had bounced from one dating site to another to no avail. She decided to make one last effort, and signed up for Match.com.

John was on an equally dismal search for love. He was in the state of mind to give up completely, and delete his dating profile. One day, however, a 'Like' from a nurse named Alex got his attention. He reviewed her profile, noting that many of their likes/hobbies/fandoms aligned. He sent her a message and asked her out.
