This is Us

We met in August of 2015. Jacob was interviewing for a management position at Chick-fil-A Northlake Festival where I worked as a team member. I was the first person to greet him and offer a beverage while he waited for his interview to begin. Neither of us knew how fateful that first meeting would ultimately become. After six months of friendship, and Jacob being moved to a restaurant across town, we began our relationship. Our first date, January 5th, 2016, was at Mellow Mushroom where we filled up on good pizza and great conversation. As Mellow Mushroom began to close down, we moved to The Grove to keep the evening alive. It would only take two weeks for us to fall in love and begin a lifetime of firsts. We hosted our first Chick-fil-A event, Daddy Daughter Date Night, on February 6th. The next week we took our first trip to Clemson to meet my twin Aly and watched Super Bowl 50, or as I likes to say: The Beyonce’ Concert! Three months later we were signing our first lease together for an apartment in Chamblee. At the six-month mark I surprised Jacob with the first addition to our new family by bringing home Blue from the Humane Society. In November we took our first big trip to meet Jacob’s family in Indiana. Eighteen months later in May of 2017 we closed on our first home in Lawrenceville. That August we added another member of the family when I rescued Bear from a local shelter that was closing. In our four plus years together, we have been through promotions, job changes, deaths, births, and everything in between. Currently I have found my calling as a nannying for three boys right up the street from where I grew up. Jacob is now out of the military and back in school full time while managing the same Chick-fil-A’s where we first met. We are active members of Grace Fellowship Church where we participate in Foundations and have found a second family in the Snellville area. As we look towards the future, we are praying that we can take our shared experiences and passion for the mission of Chick-fil-A and become operators of our own franchise. It has been quite the journey these last four years to become the couple we are today.

We would like to thank you for sharing in our excitement as we take the next step in our journey. We are so blessed and unbelievably excited to uncover what the coming years have in store for us. We are so humble for the love and support from both family and friends! See you July 25th 2021!

Love,

Jacob and Alex
