Nick and I met in a very funny way. We met online in 2014 with one of those “SF State Class of 2018” college pages on Facebook. If you know us, we were talking about... video games. Yup. Video games. But what surprised me about Nick was that when we were chatting, we figured out we had the same video game set ups, which was oddly specific and a one in a million. Nobody else EVER would specifically have a Special Edition Pikachu Nintendo 64, Gamecube, a broken Wii, and a Wii U. So I got nosy. I saw his profile, and I was thinking to myself, Oh my gosh! He's cuuuuuuuute!
We then actually met in-person at SF State in August 2014. We both caught a glimpse of each other when I was in an elevator going to my new dorm, and he was grabbing a moving cart in the dorm lobby. When our eyes met, it was like we knew that we were meant to be together. You could say love at first sight.
Nick and I officially started dating in August 2015. Since then we've moved around Northern California, completed graduations, experienced new jobs, been there for each other during our ups and downs, and most importantly we've had so many fun adventures in San Francisco, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Graeagle, and Carmel.
Nick proposed to me on December 16, 2023 at Roxanne Cafe in San Francisco. We used to go to Roxanne Cafe for our dating anniversaries and Valentine’s Day dates when I used to live in San Francisco. It is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant we stumbled upon when we were exploring the Union Square area years ago. We have so many memories with Roxanne Cafe that it was only fitting for us to get engaged there.
What I love about our relationship is that we have grown together for the past 9 years. We started dating when we were both nineteen and have changed so much, but the one thing that has never and will never change is the love we both have for each other. Nick and I are still figuring life out, but we both are incredibly thankful for our supportive and loving friends and families and both incredibly excited for our newest adventure together.
And thats the story so far....
