Alex and Samantha first met at Cranston High School West, where they were both in the Aquaculture program, studying marine biology. Alex was on the football and baseball teams and Samantha was a cheerleader.

Over the next decade after high school, Alex and Sam would periodically run into each other at URI parties, Hot Club, or other RI spots.

Each time, they would talk, dance, or kiss the night away and exchange numbers with promises of future plans...which, for whatever reason, just never happened.

On September 19. 2020, Alex, who was fresh out of a relationship and not looking for anything serious, finally slid in Samantha's DMs to ask her on a date. Sam, who was also fresh out of a relationship and only interested in a fun night out, happily accepted. Sam remembers saying to her friend, "I'm not going to date Alex Moretti, but this will be a guaranteed fun night out with good conversation and zero pressure."

Alex and Sam had their first date. It was a super casual night with drinks at Miller's and Espresso Martini's at Amadeo's.

The next morning, Sam told her Mom, Grandy, Aunt and Friend, "Alex Moretti will be my next boyfriend, I just know it."

Alex and Sam have never gone a single day without talking since this day.

After pacing the house and chugging a truly or 2, Alex got down on one knee and asked Samantha to marry him on the deck of their first home, while their two dogs watched through the sliding door. It was intimate and perfect....and have you seen the ring?!

Alex and Sam facetimed all of their loved ones, then celebrated with a romantic dinner at the Capital Grille, followed by drinks with family and friends.

Alex and Samantha have truly become a part of each other's families, something that is super important to both of them. They have made countless memories together and been there for each other through good times and bad. Everyone who knows Alex and Sam as a couple knows they are truly made for each other.

We cannot wait to celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives with everyone we love under one roof. Let's get this party started!
