Alex and Marshall first met while attending the University of Central Florida studying for their bachelor's degrees. Marshall first noticed Alex while preparing a "hurricane meal" for a group of friends to clear out the freezer before Irma arrived. Marshall pursued Alex from August 2017 until November 2017 before she finally said yes to a first date. It didn't take long before Alex was swept off of her feet and their relationship began. They have been together for three years now, and the past three years have brought traveling adventures in and out of the country, an adorable four-legged addition named, Flagler, graduation from college, the beginning of their adult careers and many many laughs and memories along the way.
Marshall planned and prepared for weeks before he popped the question to Alex. He gathered three specific types of wood and worked tirelessly at Alex's parent's house to create the perfect ring box. This all happened at night while Alex worked her night shifts. Marshall then drove Alex to one of their favorite hiking trails with their dog, Flagler. Once they reached the oak tree covered pathway in the midst of the beautiful state park, Marshall told Alex to have the dog sit for a photo. While Alex was busy coercing the VERY energetic puppy to try and sit still, Marshall knelt down on one knee and waited for Alex to turn around. She turned around to find Marshall on one knee stating, "will you marry me?". Without hesitation, Alex said yes! And so their story begins...
