Who knew that a chance encounter at a birthday party would lead to two people falling in love and spending the rest of their lives together? Well, we sure didn't.
Alex and I knew each other growing up, and even attended the same school since elementary, but beyond that our paths never crossed much. On March 20th, 2020, that all changed. We both found ourselves at a friends birthday party one night when Alex decided to confront me over not responding to some messages he had sent me. We began talking, exchanged numbers, and even hung out the next day. We spent the next few months making countless memories and enjoying life together. That September, Alex moved out to North Dakota to help his brother run his construction company. A long distance relationship over 7 hours apart is never easy, but we both vowed to make it work. Thousands of texts, calls and a few visits later, I pointed my wheels west on December 18th, 2021 to join him and our sweet dog Hatchet in North Dakota.
Alex popped the question on March 10th, 2023 at our annual pig butchering. Surrounded by friends and with Waylon Jennings "Good Hearted Woman" playing in the background, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said YES!
As we look forward to this next chapter of our lives, we are so incredibly blessed to have each other and the love and support of our friends and family. We cannot wait to celebrate our special day with you all!
