The south entrance of Yosemite is only a 30 minute drive from The Pines Resort. It's one of our favorite places in the world, and it's where we got engaged! Our favorite activity is to rent bikes and spend the afternoon biking through the valley. If you choose to visit, we hope you aren't as hungover as we were on the day Alex popped the question.
Bass Lake is a lake known for its salmon.
You can hike!
You can fish!
You can boat!
It's a lake. Use your imagination.
A Summer weekend in Bass Lake wouldn't be complete without a trip to The Forks, and more specifically, a Forks Burger. We may be biased due to the lingering nostalgia from summer trips of yore, and the fact that Angela's father, Mike, was a loyal employee for two summers in his youth, you don't need to take our word for it! A food editor from The New Yorker called it "the perfect hamburger." Try for yourself, we beg of you!
The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad is a historic 3 ft narrow gauge railroad with two operating steam train locomotives. If you're a train enthusiast (like a certain groom we know), this is for you!
