Where is the wedding taking place?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Mackey House. Address to The Mackey House is 190 Red Gate Farms Trail, Savannah, GA 31405

What time should I arrive?

We are welcoming guests starting at 5:00pm EST. The ceremony begins promptly at 5:30pm EST.

What is your wedding timeline?

The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm EST followed by a cocktail hour from 6:00-7:00pm EST. The dinner/reception will begin at 7:00pm ending at 10:30pm EST.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will mainly take place outdoors.

What will the weather be like in Savannah, GA?

It will be HOT!!! Temperatures will vary between 85-95 degrees. There will be air conditioning throughout the site, but the majority of time will be spent outside. In case of rain, it usually does not last very long. We will plan accordingly baring any weather complications.

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal: summer edition. It will be a hot day, we want our guests to be comfortable. Light breathable clothing such as button up shirts, light pants, and sun dresses are encouraged. There will be ample air conditioning, but plan to be outdoors for the majority of the evening.

What can I expect the ceremony to be like?

The ceremony will be taking place in the grass alongside a pond. The ceremony will take place for a total of 30 minutes.

Is there anything significant about this date?

While there is no personal significance to the date, the timing is critical. The wedding will be held on Labor Day Weekend. Keep this in mind as hotels and other events will be filled up quickly by other tourists. We encourage you to take the opportunity to spend the weekend exploring what Savannah, GA has to offer! How do we RSVP?

We invite you to RSVP on our website or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation.

What is the RSVP Deadline?

July 26, 2024.

Can I RSVP after the deadline?

Unfortunately, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue in a timely manner and cannot accept late RSVP’s. We will certainly miss you celebrating with us! Thank you for understanding.

Can I bring a plus one?

We have allocated on your invite whether or not we have included a plus one. Due to the size of our guest list, we cannot accommodate extra people at the wedding. We only have spaces for the guests listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely! Please let us know if you plan to bring your kids when you RSVP. Keep in mind that children must be supervised at all times. Our venue has safety hazards such as ponds, forests, and animals that could seriously injure our little loved ones.

Will there be child-minding services available?

We will not be providing child-minding services. However, there is a closed off, indoor, location on site that children can rest and play in. There is a TV available and plenty of space. Please note that children must always be supervised.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

There are numerous hotels and Airbnb's around the Savannah area. We encourage you to select what kind of experience you would like based on your travel plans. We provided our recommendations in the "Travel" section.

Which airport is closest to Savannah?

Savannah Airport (SAV) is the closest international airport. It is located 20 minutes away from our venue. There are other airports such as Atlanta, GA and Charleston, SC but these will require a 3-4 hour drive to Savannah, GA.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

Will transportation be provided?

There will not be any transportation provided. Ridesharing apps such as Uber and Lyft are abundant and very affordable. There is also free parking on site.

Will there be parking available?

Yes! There is plenty of free parking space available on site.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Yes, you can leave your car overnight. If you do so, you will need to pick up your car before 11:00am EST the following morning.

Where can I find your registry?

Having you attend our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas we have our registry located on this website under the "Registry" section. We are registered with Amazon and Craft & Barrel.

Should I bring gifts, or send them ahead of time?

We understand that destination weddings can make traveling with gifts difficult. Our wedding registry will give you the option to ship directly to our home or to your desired location. We will have an area for cards/gifts to be dropped off at the Wedding if you choose to do so. Please note that gifts are not necessary and the best gift of all is your presence!

What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet styled dinner with two entrée options and dessert.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes there will be an open bar. Cheers!

Are you having an unplugged wedding?

We are having an unplugged wedding. We have a wonderful photography and videography crew who will capture the magical day. We kindly request that you do not use your cellphone during the ceremony. You are more than welcome to capture the fun during the reception. We would like our magical moment to be enjoyed by everyone in the moment!
