We met in February of 2021 while on a double date with mutual friends, Easton and Austin. This is where we shared our love for chicken strips and hatred for ranch. It was also discovered that neither of us are all that great at dancing! At this time, Brooke was in nursing school in La Crosse and Alex was working in Lake City. Despite the distance, we started dating April 3rd 2021. Four months later, Alex moved to Marshfield for his Nuclear Medicine Internship and Brooke stayed in Rochester working as an Oncology nurse. This year of long-distance was not easy, but incredibly worth it.

We moved in together in August of 2022 when Alex finished his internship. We spent a lot of time with family and friends, golfing, hunting/fishing, doing house projects, and hiking. February of 2023 we headed to Lake City to go "shed hunting", which led to Alex proposing. Since then we have been busy wedding planning, exploring new places, attending concerts, and showing off those horrible dance moves at many of our friends' weddings. We are looking forward to making more memories and growing old together.
