College campuses across the nation shut their doors early, and sent students to learn remotely. "In-person" became a luxury of the past, as the two suddenly had to "stay in place" back home in Connecticut. The world was seemingly bleak back then, as the future of humanity was uncertain. Despite "social distancing," somehow, these two had crossed each others paths...
Humanity had persevered yet again through the pandemic, and things began to look “normal again.” Alex and Sarah had to leave to go back to college. Maine was hundreds of miles away from Vermont, but the couple decided that the distance wouldn’t keep them apart.
Sarah graduated from university in December 2021, where she then moved to Vermont. After nearly two years, the couple was no longer "long distance."
Even though she had graduated a semester early, Sarah walked with her graduating class in the spring of 2022. During the mist of celebration, Alex asked for her parents blessing... and Sarah, well, found out that the margaritas were just "really good."
The couple soon adopted a cat, and named him Hubert. Little did this kitty know, was that he had captured both of the hearts of his new family members. He would be apart of their lives forever.
In the last remaining days of spring 2022, Alex proposed to Sarah…. (She said yes)
Though thick and thin, Alex and Sarah continued to support each other. From surviving natural disasters, to winning a martial arts competition together, the two were unstoppable.
Leading up to the wedding, both families met each other for the first time... and it was a huge success!
We are so incredibly grateful to all of our friends and families who helped make us who we are. While not everyone was able to make it, we are eternally thankful for you to be apart our lives. Each of you has touched our lives forever, in one way or another.
