It’s no secret we love the beach. We both grew up in the same NJ town and spent summers at different beaches, Ryan in Ocean City Maryland and Alex at the beaches close to Bay Head. Little known fact, Alex protected beach swimmers for many years as a beach lifeguard in the area.

We want you to enjoy the area as much as we do so we put together this guide:

- Go to the beach and put your toes in the sand.
- Bike or walk East Ave. and enjoy the scenery and architecture.
- Shop at small shops on Bridge Ave. and Mount St. in Bay Head and Arnold Ave. in Pt. Pleasant.
- Try Mueller’s famous crumb cake and pastries.
- Eat at Charlie's at Bay Head. Great for lunch, dinner or grabbing a craft cocktail at their bar. 
- Have breakfast or lunch at Dune Café on Bridge Ave.
- Grab a bite to-go at Burkes.
- A family favorite, enjoy Hoffman’s ice cream in Pt. Pleasant!
- Stop by the Pt. Pleasant Aquarium, located on the Pt. Pleasant Boardwalk. 
- Walk on the Boardwalk in Pt. Pleasant and enjoy Kohr's custard ice cream.

- Walk the Seaside Boardwalk, made famous on the show, Jersey Shore.
- Drive through Island Beach State Park and experience this unique, natural beach reserve.
- Journey to Asbury Park and visit the world-famous Stone Pony, where Springsteen still performs, and the Boardwalk.
- Shop til’ you drop at either the Spring Lake downtown, Sea Girt downtown, The Grove @ Shrewsbury, Red Bank downtown, or the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets.
- Spend the day at Six Flags, Great Adventure. The Safari is always a highlight for kids.
- Take the train to NYC from any Jersey Shore train station.
