Our Wedding

How  God  brought  us  together

Our story began at church in March of 2023 when Juli arrived in the United States from Argentina through the au pair program. The Sunday that Juli visited New Life Church, the young adult ministry had a hangout. Alex and Juli sat next to each other and had a long, enjoyable conversation about work, Argentinian culture, and our lives at the time. Alex thought she was very friendly. Juli was happy about making new friends in America. In the summer, Juli joined the Baja short term missions trip and was a great asset to the team due to her Spanish speaking abilities. Alex also went on the trip. It was his second year serving on the trip, and he was tasked to help lead one of the Baja builds. During the trip, Juli grew feelings for Alex after seeing him serve the Lord, but she felt unready for a relationship. Having just come to America, she decided she would focus on growing in her faith and getting to know the women of the church better. In December, their mutual friend from church invited people to the annual Christmas concert at Grace Community Church, and only Alex and Juli could make it. That night, Alex saw Juli differently and they engaged in deep conversation about family and their upbringing, as their mutual friend was unknowingly chaperoning their unofficial date! After that, they didn’t talk much. A few months later, Alex decided to take action and called Juli on the night before Easter Sunday to ask her out on a date on Easter, and their relationship began a few weeks later. In the 9 months that we dated, we’ve learned just how different we are but also how much we have enjoyed each other's company. We are so grateful that God brought us together and excited to spend the rest of our lives together.

I remember when I found out that a baby was coming to our family: my little sister... although she doesn't believe it I was happy because until then I was the only girl, Juli was a very independent, unique girl! With her wit and beautiful cheeks she stole our hearts..! I never imagined loving a little person so much, we always said that she is the best of the 4 siblings, I am so happy and proud of her, she is always in my testimonies at church, she is the clear example of what God does in our lives if we are on the right path, with obedience and above all love for our Lord... Who put in her path a man with whom they can share and walk this beautiful path together, welcome Alex to the family, I hope you are very happy and God bless this marriage

I met Juli at church during her first week in Los Angeles. A week later, we were strolling Little Tokyo like tourists. A few months later, I asked (told?) her that we were going on our first missions’ trip to Baja, Mexico. It was there that we really got to know each other more—from sharing skincare to prayer requests. One particular “prayer request” was named Alex, who led our team at the missions’ trip. It has been so beautiful to see how God has answered that prayer request only 1 year later when they started dating! It has been a joy to watch Juli grow in beauty and godliness, in modesty and humility, in patience and wisdom as a woman and now as a wife. Alex is a blessed man! And I, with much gratefulness to our Savior, am blessed to be her friend and hermana.

I met Juli when the Borek family brought her into the home to care for the babies I was taking care of. At first, we were just roommates, coworkers until we kept getting to know each other. Not just do we share the same nationality, but the same values, the same dreams, the same sense of humor; we became soul sisters, each other's ride or die. I feel so grateful that God put us in each other's way. She is a gift I didn’t deserve or ask for, but God knew I needed in my life. I wish her happiness, healthiness, and richness in every way possible. Love you, Juli, I’m crying already.

I met Juli for the first time in one of our meetings as Aupairs. We followed each other on Instagram, and one month later, she posted a picture of a concert at Grace Community Church (it’s my church). I replied to her and organized to hang out. That’s how I found out that she was a Christian. I was so happy to have a friend to share the same life experiences as Aupairs and love the Lord deeply. After that, we got to know each other more and more, also with our friend Meli. We started hanging out and having deep conversations, prayer requests (of course, Alex was one of them). She became an example in my life. I got to know her and see how the Lord has been working in her life, how she pursues God. And now, seeing her in her marriage makes me so happy. Juli is a friend that I can count on, a sister that I can pray with, and a girl that I admire.

My friendship with Alex feels as though we've known each other forever. I deeply value his encouragement, his willingness to listen, and the way he continually strengthens in the Lord. Being around Alex is always exciting, as he naturally becomes the life of any gathering.

Alex and I met in high school and bonded through mutual suffering of Ms. Fletcher, our AP calculus teacher. Since the beginning, it was a story of teacher's pet and class clown. Who was who, I'll leave it up to your imagination. Throughout the years, we bonded through LA aerospace jobs, deep talks, and a love of the game. I'm extremely grateful to be able to call Alex one of my closest friends in this world. Congrats on finding the perfect person to love and hold and here's to many more years to come.

According to Alex, he knew of Daniel in high school, but they didn't officially meet until college at Lighthouse Bible Church in San Diego. In college, Daniel remembers Alex was kinda closed off (at first), smart, but also working out his faith at the time. By God's grace, around May 2017 Alex became a brother in Christ and then in 2018 they became college roommates for the next couple years. Since then, they've shared many adventures:  movie nights, discussing what makes a man, continuing friendship as Alex moved to LA, relationship struggles, if Attack on Titan is the GOAT anime, and trying to get out of the Japan trip group chat.
