Mitch and I first met in early January of 2021 during our senior year at Georgia Southern University. After coming across each other on social media and exchanging messages for a few weeks, he asked me to dinner. We had our first date at Gnat's Landing on a chilly Saturday night. We both walked in very nervous but by the end of the night it felt like we had known each other forever - my definition of the perfect first date.


A handful of dates later, Mitch asked me to be his girlfriend on Feb. 11th, 2021. It just so happened that Valentine’s Day weekend was coming up, so we marked the occasion by taking a day trip to Savannah. We walked down Broad St. hand in hand learning more about each other while visiting the local shops and restaurants. I remember it being so cold that day, but neither of us cared!


Fast forward to three and a half years later on June 15th, 2024, we found ourselves taking photos on the field at Truist Park during what I thought was an exclusive “private stadium tour” that my mom had received through work. The tour guide offered to take photos of us behind home plate, so of course I said yes (because who doesn’t love a good Instagram moment?). After the guide got a few good shots of us, Mitch pulled away, pulled the ring out, and got down on one knee. I was absolutely shocked, and couldn’t believe what was happening. I immediately said yes, and shed a few tears all from pure happiness. Shortly after, we met up with both of our families at a nearby restaurant to celebrate our big news.


Our relationship has been filled with nothing but times of happiness, growth and love. From cheering on my favorite coach from the sidelines to our weekly dinner dates at our favorite sushi spot, I can’t help but think of how truly blessed I am that God brought Mitch into my life. We are both so excited for what’s to come, and can’t wait to celebrate the start of our marriage with you all on June 1, 2025!
