Ceremony

Joseph and Alexa will exchange vows in a private ceremony. We tied the knot- now it is time to celebrate! Our celebration is a come-and-go party. Please come when you can and stay for as long as you would like! We will have appetizers until 8:30PM &amp; drinks while we celebrate our forever with you!

Although I told myself (Alexa) that I would never download a dating app, I found myself downloading the dating app Hinge in early Decmeber 2021. After scrolling through, I stumbled upon Joseph's profile. I interacted with Joseph through liking his picture, and he interacted with me through my biggest fear, Ketchup. His opener was "What did ketchup ever do to you?". After some messaging on Hinge, I decided to give him my number. After some back-and-forth conversation, he asked me on a first date (on snapchat, but don't worry ladies I made him text me instead). The only issue was that I was in the middle of a busy season coaching dance, working Stitch Fix, and trying to survive school days. He had to wait two weeks to finally take me out! Our first date was December 29, 2021 at the brewery in Hutchinson! Joseph then took me out one more time before he decided to go on a three week roadtrip cross country to visit friends (making me wait for him to ask me to be his girlfriend). Once he returned and after a full week of work, Joseph finally asked me to be his girlfriend on Febraury 12th, 2022. Throughout much of our first year dating, we endured long distance (only an hour but it still SUCKED) and Joseph working long hour days, meaning there was very little connection and no seeing each other throughout the week. In December 2022, Joseph found a job in Hutchinson and moved into a rental, where I would later move in with him in May 2023. We have now built a beautiful life together, becoming recent homeowners and dog owners. Our girl Tilly is our whole world, and we have enjoyed starting projects to make our house a home. Joseph asked me to marry him on June 6th, 2025 (my birthday) very unexpectedly when I walked out of a shower (don't worry I had clothes on!) at a cabin while on a trip in the Black Hills. We cannot wait to celebrate with you as we begin our forever!
