Our Wedding

Like any true love story, we met online! It was Christmas Eve of 2018 and we matched. Ryan was celebrating in Illinois with family while Alexa was in Hawaii. Alexa was still in undergrad at Michigan State University while Ryan was in his 2L year at University of Illinois. Now how did we match in two completely different states? Well... Alexa had her location set to her parents house in Illinois - We guess you could say it was meant to be. We talked back and forth on Hinge until Ryan did enough convincing that he was a stand up guy for Alexa to give him her number. We talked on and off for months until we finally went on our first date the summer of 2019. Ryan was so nervous that he agreed to go to sushi (Alexa's favorite) without telling her he didn't like it. We continued to talk while Ryan drove back and forth from Champaign to Downer's Grove for months. Fast forward a couple of months to the beginning of 2020. Ryan committed to finishing Law school through the U of I Chicago Program, while Alexa continued to pursue her Master's Degree. The pandemic hit and we were quickly thrown into spending all of our time together. We became each other's part time roommates and bestfriends fairly quickly....and the rest is history. Ryan says he knew Alexa was the one within a week of talking. We celebrated our 5th anniversary together in November of 2024.
