It all began in high school when they met through mutual friends. At that time, Devan was taken. They went their separate ways and off to college. Their paths crossed again in 2019 when Alexa realized he was now single and started liking all of his social media posts. He soon slid into her DM's (don't believe him if he says the opposite!) They chatted for a few months before finally going on their first date the day AFTER Valentine's Day in 2020. He lied to his family and told them that he was going to grab dinner by himself, and proceeded to be gone for almost 5 hours.

On March 15th, he asked her to officially be his girlfriend. Days later, the world shut down and they were stuck at home. With nowhere to go and nothing open to do for months, they spent a lot of time with each others families and soon figured out that their paths may have crossed LONG before either of them had ever realized. It turns out that Alexa's aunt had babysat Devan's cousins growing up and that their cousins were actually very close friends. Alexa's grandfather, Melvin, had worked at the postal service with Devan's great uncle many moons ago. Alexa's other Grandfather, Warren, had also taught not only Devan, but also his Dad at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. Their families only lived a few miles apart from each other in Pennsylvania growing up. Even though they were so close by many years ago, they never actually met each other until their high school years in Medina, OH.

In the time since, Alexa has enjoyed begging Devan to travel with her which has taken them to the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Ireland, and all over the U.S. Devan has enjoyed spending time together out on their boats on Lake Erie and Chippewa Lake, and the occasional hunting adventure.
