Our Story
Our Love Story
From the Bride:
Doug and I met when I was just a senior in high school. Just an 18 year old girl, who didn't know what she wanted. Little did I know, Doug would sweep me off my feet. We first started talking on Snapchat and then we started texting and it just started to blossom into a great friendship....I just wanted to be friends since I was going off to college. However, Doug was not taking "no" for an answer (which I am so thankful for). He sent flowers and edible arrangements to my house all the time and my family was starting to wonder who the mystery man was. Doug is not the sentimental, lovey, mushy gushy, type of guy..so this it's surprising he did any of this stuff. He showed up at my senior Homecoming game as a surprise and I introduced him to my family. That's where it all began. Now, 8 years later, here we are. Living in a beautiful new home with our 2 little doggies and creating the most perfect life. Doug is hardworking, caring, intelligent and the most loyal person I have ever met, he is so easy to love. I am looking forward to continuing our life together and bringing new memories while celebrating with all of our family & friends!
From the Groom:
I met Alexa when she was just a senior in high school, and the first time I ever saw her in person was her being crowned the homecoming queen. She looked stunning, and I knew right then that I wanted to make her my queen. We spoke only through snapchat at first not really knowing each other too well, and as our friendship grew, so did my feelings for her. The first months were tough for me as the feelings were more one sided and I was constantly on the run around with Alexa, trying to win over her love. In my story, persistency is key, and I didn't want to give up!
We had met in September of 2013 and I finally won her over in July of 2014. Since that day our love has continued to grow everlasting. From driving to see her at her college dorm weekly, to getting our first puppies together and moving into our forever home. We continue to grow day in and day out, and although sometimes we're oil and water, I don't think I'd have it any other way. On June 11th 2022 we'll add another chapter to our story, with a lifetime left to keep writing our book. So, to my other half and my often brighter smiling side; I love you to the moon and back and I can't wait to finally tie the knot forever this June.
