Please RSVP by August 17th through our wedding website under "RSVP" so we can ensure an accurate headcount to all our wonderful vendors. The RSVP section of our website will be open when you receive your formal invitation.
I can't seem to find the venue name when I look it up. What should I do?
Our venue, Palmer Reserve, Historic Barn Venue & Outdoor Gardens, has recently had a name change! It is formally known as The Barn at New Sewickley. If you are having trouble looking up the venue address, try looking it up by its former name. The street address will match. Google and Maps seem to be lagging behind in updating the exciting new name!
Can I bring my children?
Although we love your little ones, we hope you will understand that we will not be able to have them in attendance due to limited numbers. Our wedding will be an adult only event.
Can I bring a plus one with me?
Unfortunately, our venue does not have enough space for each our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. If you are allotted a plus one, your invitation will indicate so. Thank you so much for your understanding!
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding will be outdoors in our venue's beautiful outdoor gardens. The ceremony is uncovered and our cocktail hour/reception will follow directly after in an outdoor tent on location.
Is there parking on location?
Yes, there is! You will park near the venue's barn and walk down their gorgeous outdoor steps to get to our ceremony. For those who may be concerned about walking down steps due to physical restrictions, there will be golf carts to escort you to our ceremony.
When should I arrive?
We ask that you arrive 20-30 minutes before our 4:00pm ceremony. This will allow you time to park, make your way down to the ceremony, and find a seat.
What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is semi - formal attire, such as suits or sport jackets for men, and dresses or dressy jumpsuits or separates for women. Ladies - we do suggest you wear thick heeled shoes, as the ceremony and reception will both be outdoors on turfed grass.
What's the weather like in the area?
Although the surrounding Pittsburgh areas can be unpredictable in weather, September has shown to be a statistically warm and dry month! The average temp has shown to be around the mid 70's during the time of the ceremony and lowering to the mid 60's to 50's as the night goes on.
