Back in January of 2022, Lex set out to get back into climbing at the local gym that had once hosted her 8th birthday party. Around that same time, Grant and some fellow UCA adventurers had decided to start making regular treks to Little Rock for Climbing Wednesdays (insert trademark here). Lacking a group to hit the rocks with, Lex usually found herself clambering up auto-belays, until Grant came to offer her a catch. Initially a platonic belaytionship, the two grew to know each other one dyno at a time. Weekly climbing sessions meant catching each other in times of peril, both on and off the rocks. Life's climb had a way of sneaking in a crux move when the sailing seemed smooth…but support, active listening, and a shared love of good times and IPAs made even the rocky moments enjoyable. Looking forward to the adventure ahead, the bride and groom continue to take on each new ascent as a team. They're climbing to “send the proj” and when one falls, the other will be ready to catch.
