July 24, 2021: Before Alex and Alexa knew each other they both had planned trips to see their friends in SC. Alex planned to visit his friend Curry and Shelby in Aiken, SC. Alexa was planning a girls trip and to visit with her friend Taylor near Aiken and a trip to Charleston, SC. Shelby and Curry were having a summer olympics party at their house and Taylor and Alexa were invited. Shelby and Taylor were friends in college at BGSU and worked together in South Carolina. Alexa and Taylor showed up to this small get-together where Alexa noticed Alex and thought that he was cute. However, she thought he had to be from South Carolina so not to get too excited. As the night went on, Alexa and Alex were introduced to each other and found out they had both attended BGSU (Talons Up!) around the same time and that Alex actually lived in Waterville (15 minutes from where Alexa had recently just signed an apartment). They spent the night laughing with friends, playing cards, and watching Curry and Alex dance through the kitchen. It was in that moment that Alexa knew this was her guy.

July 30, 2021: After the girls trip ended and Alexa and Alex were back home in Ohio, Alex arranged a true first date for the two of them. They spent the evening playing putt putt, getting mexican food, and getting to know each other more.

August 8, 2021: Alex and Alexa started dating! I know, he moved pretty quick but he knew she was the one.

May 28, 2023: Alex and Alexa went back to South Carolina to visit their friends for an extended Memorial Day Weekend. Alexa got brunch with Taylor, Kiersten, and Shelby while Alex was hard at work golfing and planning the big proposal. The day went perfect and Alexa's brother who recently moved to South Carolina was even able to be there.

Our story is fun and unique and we love it so much we decided to move down to where it all began. We now live in Augusta, GA with our cat Leo. Alex is working for a new construction company renovating the Augusta Airport and Alexa is finishing up a second bachelors degree and working full time for a marketing agency.

We are so thankful for this crazy fate to bring us together and laugh often that it took us over 700 miles for our paths to finally cross. Timing is truly everything.
