Connor and Alexa first met in April 2015 in the chemistry building at BYU-Idaho. Connor remembers Alexa wearing green-yellow pants with a white shirt and her hair being pulled back into a half braid. She had asked him for chemistry help and they later found out that they were in the same biology lab. After a semester of establishing their friendship through teasing and flirting at the lab table, they quickly became attracted to one another. A new semester started in September and they were pleased to find the other in the same Organic Chemistry class. That fall, Connor and Alexa enjoyed many dates with friends and shared their first kiss. Together, they explored Rexburg, Utah, and Las Vegas before the end of the year. They quickly realized that life with each other made perfect sense. They were inseparable.

2016 brought in a whole new addition of adventures and memories for the two. In April, Connor moved to Texas for a summer job which rapidly allowed them both to realize that distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. One month after his move, Connor and Alexa realized that their friendship was unparalleled and they were both deeply in love. After many FaceTime dates and long phone calls, they decided to put the relationship to work. In August, Alexa flew to Texas to visit her now-official boyfriend and to meet his family. A few weeks later, Connor drove to California to meet hers. They returned to school together and were beautifully happy to be spending every day together as a couple. This past November, they traveled to Texas to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with his family and on November 21, 2016, Connor asked Alexa to marry him. Alexa was thrilled to say "yes" and to spend the rest of eternity with her best friend.
