We met in the most unexpected way — on a research trip to England, where we were both presenting our work. What started as shared academic nerves quickly turned into easy conversations, late-night talks, and laughter that felt like we’d known each other for years.
Toward the end of the trip, we found ourselves spending more time together — just the two of us. One unforgettable morning, we watched the sunrise over Tower Bridge, then rode bikes back to our hotel through Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. Something shifted that day. We didn’t start dating until we got back to school, but we both knew that something special had begun.
Since then, our story has been filled with adventure — and live music. Every summer brought new memories, new destinations, and a soundtrack of the concerts and cities we explored together.
After graduation, we returned to Europe — this time starting in Ireland. On our very first day, Alexah’s best friend Cami suggested we go to Howth Cliff Path for sunset. She told Alexah it was where her family was from and even showed texts from her aunt to prove it. Alexah tried to convince everyone to wait a couple of days — after all, we had flown overnight and would be exhausted. But everyone insisted, and since Alexah loves sunsets anyway, she eventually agreed.
We arrived at the cliffs just as the sky turned golden and pink. It was stunning — peaceful, surreal, perfect. As we walked along the path, taking it all in, we stopped for a photo together. And then, Jason got down on one knee.
She said yes!
Now we’re getting married, and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!
