Separated initially by 250 miles, Moira and I met nearly 5 years ago, online during Covid. This was, in large part, thanks to one of my best friends, Bri. She posted online about hosting a Dungeons &amp; Dragons game while we all quarantined. This game continued on for several years, until the end of 2023. As we explored worlds with our characters, we drew closer as people. Everyone from that game became dear friends. The commitment to our weekly escapades grew into events we attended, enjoying each others company all the while. Moira and I first met in person a few years after the game began, in Brewer's Indian Trail Park, attending a Shakespearean play put on by some of the friends in that same group. That evening, we spent many hours at Green Tea, a local restaurant, laughing, gabbing (and probably being a general nuisance as our group played a game of cards during our meal). For the next few years, we would see each other primarily at these group planned events, mainly at our first large gaming convention, Gen Con. Gen Con was wild ride of a road trip from Maine, to New Hampshire, to Niagra Falls, and, finally, to Indianapolis; with about 10 of us shoved in one van with all of our stuff. Gen Con became one our group's favorite trips, and we have continued to go every year since. So many wild and fun memories make up the first chapter of our story that I could write for hours. The large convention became a special place for Moira and me, and it's a tradition we will likely continue for the rest of our lives. Moira and I truly connected a few years back, when we learned we are essentially the same person in different bodies; True Soul Mates. We have so many similar ideas, values, and ways of life. We can even read each other's mind's sometimes; which is almost a little scary. Normally, getting engaged seven months in would be considered fast. However, after many prior long-term relationships for each of us, we can honestly say, 'when you know, you know'. That brings us to today. Thank you for reading this far. We have chosen to elope privately in Paris, France, as to make our ceremony truly about us as a couple and our commitment to each other. We hope you'll join us a couple of weeks later, in Maine, to celebrate our love with a wonderful day spent laughing and eating delicious food. For now; Au revoir, Moira and Alex
