Our Story
July 4th, 2021 - Alex and Haley matched on Hinge. Alex was away at training but came home for a wedding that weekend. Haley had just moved back three weeks before and had no long-term plans of staying.
One cheesy pick-up line of “Well I’m here! What are your other two wishes?” (Thank you, Sam) later, it got the conversation going and led to over a month of just talking while Alex was in Mississippi.
August 14th, 2021 - The day finally came for our first date, which was filled with tacos and margaritas. This became a staple in our relationship whether it is dining out or making them together. Alex didn’t want the date to end so he suggested mini golf, where Haley kicked his ass. This is still up for discussion; Alex claims he let her win even though Haley is the reigning champ in mini golf.
Labor Day weekend we went to Boston together; where we went to Fenway to watch the Red Sox play, go to breweries and enjoy the city. In the Uber ride back to the hotel after a long day of walking around and going to breweries, Alex confessed his love for Haley and said he was going to marry her one day. Haley brushed it off and didn’t think anything of it, only that it was the alcohol talking.
December 30th, 2022 - We were settling into our new home and Alex went out for "drinks" with a few coworkers but was picking up the ring. He was going to wait to propose but once he had the ring, he couldn't wait any longer to call her his fiancée. Alex got home and immediately got down on one knee surprising Haley into not saying anything (which is hard to do).
We are so excited to share our special day with the people that matter the most to us! We look forward to seeing and celebrating with you all soon!
