Our Wedding

Alex and I met in February 2020 at a Super Bowl party that we were both invited to from our friends Monica &amp; Fillo. I didn't really know many people at this party but I decided to go so I could mingle. Well, I made my mom's famous Taco Pie as an appetizer for the guests to enjoy. Little did I know that this was the recipe that would bring us together. While I was heating this appetizer up, Alex came over to me and asked if it was lasagna LOL. I was so stunned by his bright smile that I looked up at him and then immediately down. Later on, he messaged me on Instagram asking for the recipe and the rest is history!

If you are staying at the Hampton Inn Havelock, Holiday Inn Express &amp; Suites, or the Cherry Point Inn on Saturday, September 2nd, we will be providing transportation from the hotels listed above to the wedding venue. Once the wedding is over, (10pm) transportation will also be provided to bring you back to the hotels above.

Places to Stay

This is a free and short ferry ride on Neuse River to Minnesott Beach. Popular activities include swimming, fishing, picnicking (sheltered area available) and hiking.

Cherry Branch Minnesott Beach Ferry

Numerous aircraft static displays outside, good information on the. displays inside about Havelock and the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point inside. This activity is also free of cost!

Havelock Tourist & Event Center

22 mile trail going through a variety of coastal swamps and pine forest. You can hike the whole trail end to end or break it up into a smaller adventure.

Pine Cliff Neusiok Trail Croatan National Forest

Registry

There are 3 options for airports depending on price, distance, and the type of stay you're planning on. The largest airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). It is about 2 1/2 hours from the venue. The closest airport to the venue is Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) and it is located in New Bern. It is about 35-40 minutes from the venue. Further than EWN but closer than RDU is Albert J Ellis Airport (OAJ) and it is located in Jacksonville. It is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from the venue.
