Brittany was just a small-town girl, living in a lonely world.

She made Bumble swipes that could take her any-whereee.

Alex was just a city boy, born and raised in Plaistow, NH.

He made Bumble swipes hoping for a match some-dayyy.

Now for the story:

Once upon a time Brittany arrived home from work bored and lonely. Having tried many avenues to meet people in the real world, she decided to download Bumble. Not one to ever want to try a dating app, she started swiping and quickly decided she did not like it.

Ever the humble athlete, Alexander, had spent the last year getting involved in new sports and activities to try and meet a pretty lady in the wild. He had decided to attempt the dating apps and had found himself on Bumble. He was scrolling through one night when he spotted a ravishing blonde come across his screen holding a plate of pasta. He was immediately infatuated with her big blue eyes and swiped hoping to match with her.

Now Brittany, the ever-stubborn being that she is, had decided she was only going to use Bumble for a few hours and delete it. She was casually scrolling when a boy named Alexander came across her screen. His picture showing him with a group of friends with him dressed as what he would describe as Clark Kent, while Brittany had absolutely no idea. Nonchalantly, Brittany swiped and matched with him. Alex's profile had sounded intriguing to her as he described himself as a "planner." 'What exactly does that mean?,' she pondered. As Bumble operates with women messaging first, Brittany reached out...

Not wanting to waste any time, Alex quickly responded and exchanged his actual number, and the rest has now become history.

Hahaha in all seriousness, yes we met on a dating app. Our relationship was certainly not anything either one of us had ever expected to be able to find on something like Bumble, but after many years of trying to meet someone in person, we are certainly grateful that we were able to meet at all.

I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't met Alex when I did, and how I did. As much as I say I was ready, I don't think Brittany out in the real world would've had as much courage to talk to a stranger like Alex, except through an avenue behind a screen. Alex continually pushes me out of my comfort zone-has me trying tennis, new foods, traveling places- and I am grateful he is alongside me for all of it!
