Guests who have not arrived by the start of the ceremony will not be permitted to enter the ceremony venue until after the ceremony's conclusion. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring Mike & I have our special moment, uninterrupted.
Will there be parking?
Yes! The museum offers parking in their parking garage for $10 per car.
V.I.P member's parking will be paid for.
There is also street parking around the museum on side streets that may be available & free.
Do we get free tickets to the museum?
Yes! The museum is offering free tickets to all our guests to visit the museum the day of the event. Please let me know if you are interested in your R.S.V.P.
Is this location handicap accessible?
Yes! There are ramps, elevators, and street level entrances to allow all of our guest ease of access to the event.
Where should I stay?
We have reserved 10 rooms each at various hotels in the area in an attempt to accommodate as many guests as possible. The weekend of our wedding is Pitt Family Weekend. Hotel rooms will be limited and rates will likely be increased. We highly encourage you to book early to secure your stay! Please visit our Travel page for more information on which hotels.
What is prohibited while in the museum?
The space we are occupying has century old marble and granite so the following are prohibited: open flames, sparklers, confetti, sand, glitter, paint, outside food or drink, & bare feet.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests not explicitly stated on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to celebrate with you!
Are children welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, with the exception of our Flower Girl & Ring Bearer, our wedding will be child-free. Enjoy the night off!
What should I wear?
We encourage our guests to dress their best! Our wedding has a black-tie theme. Please refrain from wearing casual clothes such as jeans or t-shirts. Our "groomsmaids" will be in floor length gowns and our groomsmen will be in suits for reference!
Can I take pictures?
While we love that you want to capture the memories, we kindly ask that you respect our photography / videography team and refrain from stepping in their way while they’re working. We want to make sure everyone has a chance to enjoy the day and let the professionals capture all the special moments. Thank you for helping us make this day even more memorable!
Is there an open bar?
Mike & I know how to throw a party! There will be multiple bars, all open. All will be serving beer, wine, cocktails, and mocktails. That way, all our guests are able to have fun without the worry of "Does this have alcohol in it?"
Where should I sit?
The first row of seats at our ceremony will be reserved for immediate family & loved ones who are sadly no longer with us, but all others are open seating. There will be designated seating for the reception & a seating chart / chaperone cards to direct you to your seat!
What time does the reception end?
Mike & I will be making our exit at 11 pm & our vendors will promptly begin breaking down at that time.
