On a Saturday night in the middle of May, Molly and Alex met at McGurks through mutual friends.

Our first photo together! This was taken just 2 weeks after we met. Glad we started with lots of room for improvement! :)

Alex's first time in Columbus, IN! This is the first time he met Molly's parents and best friends at the infamous 4th of July party.

Molly's first Piening Family Christmas! She was completely swooned by the 20-foot tree!

Alex's first ski trip! Alex and Molly traveled to vail and BEAVER CREEK where Molly shared her love for the mountains and skiing with Alex for the first time.

Molly bought a house in St. Louis, and with Alex's help, it turned into home. Together, they began setting down roots and building their life together in STL.

Molly's first time at Rockbridge! The Piening family has a long tradition of summer fishing trips, and Molly finally got to experience what all the excitement is about!

Alex and Molly traveled to Europe together, starting with a trip to Spain where Alex presented at an oncology conference. Afterward, they headed to Paris and travelled around France. The pair had a wonderful, romantic time and even went ring shopping on this trip.

Alex surprised Molly with a proposal during a ski trip in Steamboat, Colorado. Surrounded by her best friends and the ski mountains, it could not have been a more special moment.

Alex graduated with a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology—a major accomplishment that was a proud moment for both him and his family. Congrats Dr. Al!

Alex and Molly celebrated Molly's 29th birthday with engagement photos and Budweiser in their favorite place!
