I met Alex in 2019. We somehow managed to connect on a dating app. I was working in Livonia, at the time and he was dropping off a friend at the airport. However, he lived in Lake City, which was three hours from where I lived. We talked for three months before I got the courage to go and officially meet him, three hours away, in person... In the middle of no where. Literally, any store was 20 minutes away. I was extremely nervous. Our first date was ice fishing. Alex was so nervous, he forgot the fishing poles. We ended up having an amazing time. Alex moved down state around December of 2021, we rented our first house together in February, 2021. We definitely had our ups and downs. But we decided we had more ups than downs and made it through a couple rough patches. We found out we were pregnant on April 19, 2021. Alex proposed August 14, 2021. We bought our first home in November of 2021. Hunter Dale Jerome Spalding was born December 30, 2021 at 2:11 a.m., weighing 7 lbs and 4 oz, 20 inches long. We decided within the next year that we just didn't love living in Livonia. We decided to pack up everything we knew and move up to where I first met Alex, in Lake City. He still had the single wide and acreage. So we decided that our family would make it work, full time, We have been extremely happy up here in Lake City, MI. We have a lot of goals to reach this year. However, our family has never been happier. We have been in Lake City for six months. We got chickens a couple of months ago, I am starting a new bread business, and we plan on going to some Farmers Market's this summer. Hunter is THRIVING, just like his DaDa. We love our little family and our little simple life! As for me? I have never been more in love and happy! #ThankfulGreatfulBlessed
Way back in 2019, I was returning back up north after taking my friend to the airport, while on the way I stopped for lunch (fast food of course) and was swipping away and noticed this beautiful woman! By the time I returned home, we matched!! And I knew from the very beginning she was the one for me. And the rest you can say is history. We fell in love during a pandemic, however if you ask me I would say it was a 3 month long date. We did oh so many things, putting hundreds miles on the Hondas, sight seeing, and just all around having fun. Of course with any relationships things haven't always been easy, however God has never left our side and we truly know he has a plan for us. We moved in together later on, and ended up buying our first home in Livonia, where we brought our beautiful son into this world. Seeing the love of my life transform into the most amazing mother has been one of the most beautiful things I've witnessed. Now, present day here we are in beautiful northern Michigan chasing our dreams, and trying to give Hunter the best life possible. I absolutely cannot wait to marry my best friend!!
P.S. GO BUCKEYES (I'm also marrying a buckeye fan too!!)
