Our Wedding

Her side:It all started when I began working at DaVita. I was walking down my aisle at work and then I saw him! I thought, "hey there's a cute boy! Shit, now how do I focus?" I asked my friend Ashley who the hot guy she went out on smoke breaks with was. She said, "ohhhhhh that's Alex. You two would be really cute together!" So her and Mira made it their mission to get us together. Well the problem was he had no idea I even existed despite the fact that he had spoken to me before.Well it took a couple months for anything to happen. Then came along DaVita Academy, I wasn't attending, but one of my administrators that I worked closely with from Wisconsin was so I went down town to meet her for a drink. While we were there we met up with Ashley. When Ashley walked up to us she had someone with her. My first thought was, "OH ITS HIM!!!!" We proceeded to sit across from each other, where we talked the whole night and just hit it off! From there we started messaging back and forth on our internal work chat for a while until I ended up having foot surgery. When I came back to work I was on a knee scooter where he proceeded to call me "Wheels." I took every chance I could get to be close to him, and I kept showing him my foot because he thought it was cool. A few weeks later I was hanging out with some coworkers at 3 Freaks Brewery, where literally everyone at the table claimed that we would get together because when I sat down he said that I could put my foot up on his leg to get the swelling to go down. A few weeks later he asked me out on our first date.The anticipation was crazy! We had been flirting for over a month and I was finally excited to spend some one on one time not at work together. I met him at Old Chicago's where he met me at my car. As soon as I got out he said, "are we going to kiss now or wait and make it all awkward until the date is over?" I immediately lunged forward for the most awkward first kiss- teeth clinking and all. The date went amazing!A couple weeks later I decided to have him meet two of my best friends, Kelcie and Lauren, because I knew they would give me their honest opinions. While sitting there he called me his girlfriend. I proceeded to scold him because he never asked me to be his girlfriend. Both of them loved him right there because he didn't back down to me, but instead dished it right back.A year and half later he asked me to move in with him in January of 2020. As we all know 2020 was not the year we all thought it would be, but we were able to be quarantined together and fell more in love. I knew that if we could make it though the pandemic and being with each other 24/7 in a tiny, one bedroom, 700sq foot apartment we can get through anything. July 19th of 2020 he took me to Chatfield Botanical Gardens and proposed in the gazebo (where we are going to be married)! His side:She is 100% right about just telling her that she was my girlfriend, without asking. Those of you that know me, know that I am an all or nothing person. The first time I truly I noticed Caitlin was the night at the DaVita Academy conference. During that evening, after our conversations I found myself liking Caitlin and thinking she was someone I could see myself dating. She seemed very low maintenance and less crazy than other women I had met. Lucky she is so cute.She is also right when she says that the anticipation of our first date was extremely high. Jumping into our first kiss right away helped calm those nerves. Fast forwarding to the first time I met Kelcie and Lauren, I did say she was my girlfriend without asking Caitlin first. I just assumed we were official- and I was right.When I truly fell in love with Caitlin, was when she helped me through a time of personal trouble. After dealing with six months worth of insurance obstacles, she really pushed me to getting the help I needed to deal with the migraines and anger. Seeing how caring and encouraging she was in getting me help, made me realize that someone other than family can love another person. Caitlin's compassion and empathy are the things I love most about her. She is always willing to help anyone, even strangers.She is right again in saying that 2020 was not the year we thought it would be, and that quarantining together in our little apartment has brought us much closer together. Or at least as long as she was patient enough to be "surprised" to wait for me to propose. We look forward to seeing you at our wedding and sharing our special day with you all. Get ready to party!

Hey all we reserved a block of rooms at the Marriott Residence Inn located at 93 W Centennial Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129. Please book under the Huffman/ Williams wedding to get the group rate discount.There will be 3 types of rooms to choose from.a Studio King Room -$149 a nighta 1 bedroom Suit - $159 a nighta 2 bedroom suit. $249 a night Hotel phone number is 303-683-5500 All reservations must be done by 8/30/2021 in order to get the discounted rate. We will also be providing transportation via a party bus from from this hotel location. It will take you to the venue and bring you back to that hotel after the wedding/ reception.
