It all began on a summer evening in 2016. Alex and Cory first crossed paths at the Blind Dragon in West Hollywood — a night out that neither of them could’ve predicted would change their lives forever.

A week later, fate (and a few too many cocktails) brought them together again at Splash House in Palm Springs. While Cory had managed to get Alex’s number that first night, he didn’t think much would come of it — until he quite literally bumped into her poolside. “You’re the girl from last weekend, right?” he slurred with all the confidence of a man fueled by sunshine and tequila. The rest of the afternoon was history — they talked, danced, and bonded over music. When Alex mentioned her love for Alabama Shakes, Cory enthusiastically agreed… despite having absolutely no idea who they were (a fact that, ten years later, still makes them laugh).

Soon after, Cory asked Alex on their first official date to Laurel Hardware in West Hollywood. Away from the loud music and flashing lights, they quickly realized this was something special. The spark that started that night hasn’t gone out since.

In the years that followed, they’ve built a life full of laughter, adventure, and countless memories — from concerts and midnight movie premieres to trips around the world. Highlights include a dreamy getaway to Oahu and an unforgettable trip to Cabo, where Cory finally popped the question.

Playa Vista has been their home for the past 5 years and in 2025, they adopted their beloved dog, Brandi, who has instantly become the heart of their home.

Through every season — from quiet nights in to spontaneous adventures — their love has only grown deeper. Now, nearly a decade after that fateful summer, Alex and Cory are so excited to begin the next chapter of their story — one filled with even more laughter, love, and whatever surprises life has in store.
