Our story began on the 11th April 2018 when our paths crossed for the first time in Ramusake. My girlfriends and I went for the Ladies night and we were so close to cancelling but we said, lets go out for a couple hours, meet the girls, have a couple drinks and we will call it a night. An easy night.

While my girls and I were dancing, this very handsome white boy with a very tall friend (Hi Phil K!) was walking right in front of us . So I smiled, look at them and with my most beautiful and flirtatious way, I asked, "Hello. It feels like you guys want to say hi to us?"

Phil K said, "Hiii. My friend here Adam wants to know your name and maybe buy you a drink?" and of course I said, "Is that right? Well, my name is Alexandra. And I won't say no to that drink!"

And there you go. MAGIC!

So we talked, a loooot.

Danced. A looot.

Flirted. A loooot. and we just forgot about Phil K ... and my Girlfriends. Whoops!

We talked about everything -- tattoos, how close our birthdays were, he has a twin brother, about Bella and Tyson, Adam told me the whole story about his family and career. I mean about everything!

And I laughed. A LOT!! That beautiful night just felt so right. That I am where I am supposed to be.

Perfect place. Perfect time.

But what really gave it away was when he said he wants to buy me a drink and I said, "Surprise me!" He came back with the most perfect drink - ESPRESSO MARTINI! My mind was blown, did I just tell you that it is my favourite drink?

(Giving me the chills as we write this. We would definitiely do it all over again.)

Then after that, it's all about Whatsapp. Everybody from work would notice how happy I was! We would be messaging all day long and all night. Then we started dating. Our first official date was in Masti in La Mer a few days after Ramusake and it was with David and a few friends. Yes, our first official date was already with David.

During our first year together, we met most of our families on both sides. Our first year felt like we've known each other for yearsssss. And it only felt sooo right. Soooo in love. We were on cloud nine!

Fast forward to when we celebrated our first year anniversary in the stunning Koh Samui in Thailand. It was the most beautifully 2-week planned surprise I have ever had in my entire life.

The most romantic dinner by the beach the night of 11th April 2019, on the private island of Banyan Tree Samui, candlelit dinner for 2, with the most romantic playlist on the background with the ocean waves, reminiscing about how beautiful our first year together was, then on the same time Ed Sheeran was playing 'Thinking Out Loud,' my Adam handed me the most important envelop of my life with the most beautiful words of :

"Alexandra Amparo, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met and I fall in love with you the very moment I laid eyes on you. You make me laugh, and smile. You make me happy and you bring the best out in me every day. The past 1 year has truly been the best year of my life.

I could not imagine a day without you and I dream of spending the rest of my life with you. I am so lucky to have you. The next few words I want to say out loud .."

(-- and there he was, my Adam. On one knee. When my world stops as he asks me ..)
