What about Covid...?
If you choose to attend our reception, we require that you be fully vaccinated. With Delta especially, we know that those with young kids may be weighing each decision to gather in groups carefully. We hope you will be able to join us, knowing that we are asking all guests older than 12 to be vaccinated. We also fully support you if your decision is to sit this wedding out! We'll find time to celebrate with you in a more intimate setting in the future.
As we move closer to the dates of the receptions, we'll be monitoring protocols and policies and will communicate about mask-wearing or other protective measures we will ask guests to adhere to. Thanks for understanding, as we try to plan a wedding amidst a global pandemic!
What should I wear?
Cocktail attire. For the reception on the West Coast, location is partly outside, so do dress in what you'll be comfortable in!
Why does the website reference Agoura Hills and Washington, DC?
We're both from California but since leaving our hometowns, have transplanted to DC. We decided to try and make travel easier in this time of covid, so we're hosting one California reception, and one on the East Coast. Another added benefit of dividing the guest list, is that we'll get to spend more quality time with each of you! The invitation you receive in the mail indicates the date and location of the reception we hope to see you at.
Will there be a wedding ceremony?
We're having a very small ceremony with just family and our wedding party in Alexandra's hometown of Santa Maria. That'll be followed later by the receptions in Agoura Hills (a open house party hosted at Ryan's family home) and in Washington, DC (a low-key celebration at one of our favorite DC spots). We're so excited to celebrate with you at the reception!
