Sean and I are staying in the neighborhood of Trastevere, near the Ponte Sisto. (If you Google Map "Ponte Sisto" you will see where we are!) There are TONS of cute boutique hotels around there that I suggest looking at. AirBnbs and VRBOs are a great option too if you plan on staying with a group. Rome is a relatively small city and taxis are everywhere (an incredibly walkable city too if you're able). We will probably do most meet ups around the area we are staying and the venue is a 5-7 minute taxi ride from the Trastevere neighborhood.

To the city center from the airport: There is a train from the airport to the city center. You will see signs for it everywhere in the airport. This is your best bet. It's fast, clean and takes around 30 minutes. Plus it's a pretty ride. It's $11-$16/pp. You can buy tickets for the train at the train terminal once you land. This is the better option since they are timed (they go often) and if you buy ahead of time you could miss your train. The people there speak English or you can buy it at a kiosk in English as well. If you're staying in Trastevere take the train to the Trastevere stop, otherwise it will stop at the main central station Termini, on the other side of the river. Taxi's should cost 50-55 Euros to the center. If you decide to take a taxi be sure it is an official taxi stand and not a private driver. Get the price before you get into the taxi. Ubers cost A LOT MORE in Italy - taxis are your best bet.

Kids are invited to all the events, just let us know who is coming! For the wedding ceremony/reception there will be "children's entertainment" aka a babysitter. I'm not sure what that means, but it's a requirement of the venue! So please let us know if you plan on having them attend so we can get a head count together.

We are working on transportation options to the venue. Once we have an idea of where people are staying we can figure out some centralized pick up spots! We will keep you posted. You are also free to taxi/uber to the venue too! We will have shuttles to transport people back to their hotels throughout the end of the evening too!
