It all started with a discussion about a smile in July of 2022...in vet school, Ali was known as Dr. Smiles and is still known for her sunny personality. Andrew saw that on her profile on Hinge and, needing a bit of sunshine in his life at the time, decided to take a chance by reaching out and asking her about it. Soon after, the two were having in-depth, multi-paragraph-long discussions and both thought that maybe this might be something different. They were nervous about it working at first with the distance between the two homes (about an hour and a half), but decided to meet over FaceTime to test the connection. That first phone call started and two hours went by without any lulls in conversation. They decided to meet in person for their first date at mini golf which- of course- Ali won! They then went to dinner after and Ali thought she had blown it when she start recounting work stories and showed Andrew a picture of a snake she had worked on (which he hates) and he didnt kiss her at the end of the night. But her nervousness was quickly squashed as she then went on vacation with her family and she and Andrew Facetimed almost every night while she was away. They were finally able to meet up again three weeks later, and the sparks began to fly (when they finally shared their first kiss). The two quickly became inseparable and despite the distance, many dates, vacations, and quality time spent together ensued. A few months after they started dating, Andrew realized that Ali truly was something different when they found themselves carving pumpkins right before Halloween and getting in a pumpkin goop fight. That memory made a huge impact on him- more so than either of them realized at the time. As time went on, they continued to grow in love and the bond grew stronger. Then, on April 28th of 2024, surrounded by both sets of parents, Andrew presented a picture of the constellations of the night of the pumpkin fight and let Ali know she was the one he had been waiting for. He got down on one knee and asked Ali to be his wife. Both parents giggled as there was no hesitation in her emphatic response of yes!

Samm Serfass has been Ali's best friend since she was 4 years old. They went to Sacred Heart School  together and have continued their shenanigans and adventures to San Diego, Puerta Vallarta, and most recently Spain and Portugal.

Amber is Ali's sister. She has been her confidant and biggest cheerleader all her life. Though they did not end up opening the Beery and Beery practice (combo vet and pediatrics!), the two will forever look to each other for guidance and love of family.

Amber Day

Allison is Andrew's sister. She is a nurse practitioner in Seattle, Washington. She and Andrew were very close as children and even though life  has led them to live far apart, he still holds a special place in his heart for her. A proud memory he will never forget is being able to be there to see Allison receive her doctorate degree. 

Allison Gallo

Lucas is Andrew's best friend. They met in 2014 when Lucas began working for Andrew at the Kent State University IT Helpdesk and a close friendship blossomed from there. They have shared many a frozen pizza, IPAs, breakfast for dinner (Ali teases them because this consists of Raisin Bran), and a horror movie night over the years. Lucas currently lives in Seattle, Washington.

Paul is Ali's brother in law. He cures all the family ailments with his medical degree and calming demeanor. He will have all eyes on board as the children (his and Amber's three of four kiddos) skip down the aisle.

Paul Day

Evan is Andrew's brother-in-law. He has dabbled in the fields of IT, the culinary arts, and has even recently been accepted into law school.  He is incredibly gifted in the art of using "credit card points" to travel the world (Andrew has always been impressed by this).

Greta is Ali's niece and Amber and Paul's daughter. She is a spunky 7 year old. Greta has been excited to walk down the aisle at the wedding  and will be there to guide her siblings Patrick and Josie.

Josie is Ali's 3 year old niece. She has been practicing to be a flower girl over the past year. She may be tiny but you can bet she will be out there leading the charge.

Patrick is Ali's nephew and is 5 years old. He is our little priest in training and is excited for his first big procession down the aisle. Expect a face of pure focus and reverence as he carries in the rings.

This is the location of our venue, but there is a full brewery and restaurant on the premises. If you need to grab a drink before the reception, there will be plenty of options at the brewery. Look for the bride and groom's favorite beer, the Fruit and Fire.

Want to grab a fun cocktail before the reception? Check this hole in the wall cocktail bar right in Wadsworth! The maid of honor's favorite cocktail is the Peanut Butter Banana Surfboard and the bride is a sucker for the Serrano Spiced Apricot.

Crafted Cocktail Company

Want to enjoy the beautiful spring day? This park is right on the way to the reception hall. The path is paved and the route is just a short walk around a pond. The bride spent many afternoons here growing up as this was close to her house. She remembers many picnics there with family and friends.

River Styx Park

Hoping that this is open by wedding day! Check out this new cocktail bar in the square of Medina. While the bride and groom may have not checked it out yet, they will live close by and will be sure to grab a drink or two there in the future.
