It all began one summer evening in 2016 at Kickbacks in Jacksonville, Florida, where Alexandra and Steven’s paths crossed for the first time. Alexandra was home from Florida State for the summer and wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary, especially not at a bar where she was technically too young to be! Steven, a recent Duke grad and new to Jacksonville, caught her eye, and their connection sparked instantly through shared conversations and laughter.

Their first official date was at Black Sheep, also in Jacksonville, setting the tone for a summer filled with adventures and deepening connections. As days turned into weeks, Steven’s roommates began to joke about how long Alexandra was staying, unaware that her presence was becoming a cherished part of Steven’s life.

What started as a summer fling quickly evolved into something deeper. When Alexandra had to return to FSU for her sophomore year, the reality of their separation hit hard. Their emotional farewell marked the beginning of a three-year long-distance relationship. Despite the distance, their bond grew stronger through frequent road trips, weekend stays in Jax Beach, and Steven’s visits to Tallahassee. Their love story also welcomed Duke, their adorable dog, who became a symbol of their commitment and growing family.

Upon Alexandra’s graduation, they made the life-changing decision to move to South Florida, ending their long-distance chapter. The year 2020 brought them even closer when Alexandra spent much of the COVID pandemic at Steven’s mom's place—a gesture of support from Lynn that reinforced their bond.

After settling into a cozy townhome in Flagler Village, Fort Lauderdale, their life together flourished. They created unforgettable memories, enjoyed times with friends, and grew stronger as a couple. In 2022, they moved to New York City when Alexandra landed a new job, marking another exciting chapter in their journey.

Now residing in DUMBO, they savor their time exploring new restaurants, taking long walks through Brooklyn, cooking together, visiting farmers’ markets, and prioritizing wellness. They cherish quiet moments on their couch, watching shows and enjoying each other’s company.

Their journey has been a tapestry of love, laughter, and adventure, supported by family and friends. As they prepare to say "I do," they reflect on their incredible journey and eagerly anticipate the many adventures that lie ahead as husband and wife.
