Michael and Alex decided to take a trip out to California in the spring of 2023. Little did Alex know this trip would include one of the best days of her life. They decided to take a journey down the Pacific Coast Highway with their friends, Cassie and Zack.

They arrived at Garrapata State Park Beach. They started strolling along the beach, trying to find the perfect spot. But here's the twist - Michael decided to cross a creek to get to the other side of the beach. And that decision right there would make the whole thing a lot more intense and even a bit bloody.

As they were taking off their shoes and rolling up their pants to cross the creek, Alex suddenly panicked and yelled that a massive wave was coming their way. They looked up and nearly lost it. In a state of desperation, they all started scrambling up the beach, trying to dodge the wave. Zack collided with Michael and down he went into the rocky creek bed. Michael discovered he was bleeding in several spots but the ring went unharmed.

When we all got to the other side of the beach, Michael, clearly still in pain, surprised Cassie and Zack by saying their code word of "hopscotch". The plan was back on. Michael walked Alex closer to the water, and at first, she panicked, thinking he was going to throw her into the ocean. But then she realized something was different. Michael rarely got serious, and she started to realize that the words he was saying to her meant something. Michael dropped to one knee and asked the most amazing woman he had ever met to marry him. The champagne was popped, the wounds were cleaned, and the day was perfect. Mission accomplished!
