It’s May of 2014 and Alex just scored her dream job working as a waitress at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co in Long Beach. She showed up to orientation eager to start work & was greeted by Zach who was a Server Trainer and was running the orientation. They quickly found out they both went to CSULB, had mutual friends, & shared the same birthday.


It is still heavily debated to this day on who made the first move, but eventually Zach asked Alex on their first date to dinner to Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach.


Throughout the next 7 years, they spent it traveling, going to reggae concerts and Dodger games, snowboarding, & eating lots of Thai food.


On June 30th 2021, Zach & Alex were in Oahu visiting their friends & spent the day shark diving, swimming with turtles & eating garlic shrimp. Zach told Alex he was taking her to a surprise dinner - they drove to Kahala Beach and after getting out of the car, Alex stepped in a huge puddle of mud! Once she cleaned up, they walked towards the water to a picnic setup on the sand. Zach got down on one knee, popped the question, & Alex said Yes!
