Alex and Vernon's story begins at the esteemed Florida State University where they met through a mutual friend, Mary, who had attended both the FSU Study Abroad Program with Alex and later was a member of FSU Army ROTC with Vernon. Alex and Vernon first met at a house party hosted by Mary in 2017, and despite Vernon's best efforts, Alex just wasn't interested. Two years later, after Alex had travelled the world and Vernon had travelled to Europe and the Pacific Northwest, the two met again at one of Tallahassee's greatest institutions - Township. Alex gave Vernon another shot and only a few short weeks later, Alex attended Vernon's senior year Army ROTC military ball as his beautiful date. The rest, as they say, is history.
