Once upon a time in the Windy City, lived a boy and girl who were swiping left and right in hopes to find true love.

Alex swiped right after falling for Zach's picture and his big friendly smile with the family dog Stella and Zach swiped right after seeing Alex's a fabulous selfie with her pup Arthur - and just like that they were a match! Noticing that they both attended and graduated from the University of Arizona, a simple hello followed by an enthusiastic "bear down!" was all it took to kick off the conversation.

By date #2, the two knew that there was something special brewing and as time went on weekend-only date nights turned into weekday dates plus weekend dates and our time together only grew from there.

In late 2019 Zach moved in with Arthur and Alex to her condo in the West Loop, little did they know that in just a few short months they would be confined to their one bedroom, ~900 sq. ft. apartment to survive 2020. Working together and living together, basically being together 24/7 REALLY expedited getting to know each other and the love we have for each other only grew stronger!

After trading Chicago for the desert and spending the summer of 2020 in Scottsdale, the couple with Arthur returned again to Arizona for the holidays to spend Christmas with Alex's family. Soon after, masked up and vaccinated, Zach's family braved traveling to Arizona for what Alex thought would be just celebrating the New Year with the two families together... little did she know, that the global pandemic wouldn't be the only major event happening in 2020!

On 12/30/2020 Zach proposed to Alex at the Royal Palms hotel in a private garden with rose petals and champagne, both families were secretly hiding at the hotel bar waiting for Zach to pop the big question. After lots of happy tears, beautiful words, and a very important question Alex said YES!

We cannot wait to celebrate our love with our families and friends at The Legacy Ballroom in Arizona - we welcome you to the Legacy Ballroom, a special place for the Ghiz family. On the property of the Ghiz family's church, we will say our I do's in a lush rose garden and will host dinner and dancing in the ballroom in honor of Alex's late grandparents. Throughout the property from the palm trees that surround our ceremony space that were planted by Alex's late grandfather to represent each of his Ghiz kids (now Alex's Aunt and Uncles) to the bridal suite that is in honor of Alex's very own parents there are many odes to the Ghiz family. This venue holds a very special place in the hearts of the Ghiz family.
