Mike and Ally had many mutual friends throughout their lives, yet somehow they never really met! That was until their friends Zach and Lauren began their own journey. Mike and Ally met at a party they had hosted. Then one day Mike “slid into” her DMs on Instagram hoping to reconnect. Ally was definitely surprised, excited and a little hesitant, however she extended an invitation to the Hilton Pool Party! The sun was hot, the drinks were cool, and the sparks flew!

After sometime, Mike and Ally realized their feelings for each other. It was at their friends Zach and Lauren’s wedding where Mike asked Ally to be his girlfriend and they exchanged their first “I love yous”. They started to plan a life together. First came Koby, their black lab, who Mike impulsively bought weeks before the couple had planned to move in with his parents, Mike and Teresa. The three of them, Mike, Ally, and Koby moved into Mike’s parents home with plans to save up for their own home. A little while later they found their dream home, it had a big yard and plenty of projects to keep Mike busy! Then came, Lola, their yellow Covid Era Lab! The four of them, Mike, Ally, Koby and Lola settled blissfully into their home and life together!

After what seemed like a very long time, years filled with happiness and love (and a little impatience from Ally), Mike finally did it, he asked her to marry him! The two had randomly talked about going to Harry Potter World during the holidays. Mike surprised Ally with a weekend trip to Orlando, under the guise of an early birthday celebration. Of course being born in January, she was used to it being cold around her birthday, but this weekend they went away was somehow record lows in Florida. Ally suggested they ask her dad, Steve, to check on hotel deals. However, Mike insisted on staying on the property; he had booked the Portofino Bay Hotel, a little slice of Italy in Orlando. The two spent the day in the parks and headed back to the hotel. Mike suggested they have dinner at Bice, which he had already made a reservation at. He told Ally the only time available was 5:30, which she thought of course, that is what happens when you try to get in on the day of…”, she had no idea what was in store. The restaurant was right across the way from their hotel room, however it was so cold, Ally asked Mike if she could wear his jacket on the walk over, which he begrudgingly gave her, worrying that his jacket would “ruin her outfit”. When they arrived at the restaurant Mike asked the hostess to take their photo, which Ally thought was very odd, considering he hates having his photo taken. The hostess then suggested they take pictures on the balcony, that the restaurant was known for the way the sun hit the balcony during the golden hour. As they walked through the restaurant to the balcony Ally started to think, something was up, that maybe this was it. They reached the balcony and Mike nervously shuffled from one side to the other of Ally, insisting for her to be on a certain side, he then proceeded to bend down on one knee and ask her to marry him. She may have blacked out in that moment, but she said YES! Everyone in the restaurant cheered as they walked back in! The two ordered a bottle of their favorite wine, Caymus, and enjoyed their first dinner together as fiances!

Now, they are planning their wedding and looking forward to building a happy and loving marriage together!
