Once upon a time, two ambitious USC students met, albeit not in the most romantic way, but this is where the story begins.

Alexandra and Jacob both had a strong desire to help improve the lives of others and as such, found themselves in a social work program through USC at the satellite campus in Orange County. The two noticed each other around campus, but both their paths were not meant to cross . . . just yet.

When Jacob applied to run as the Co-Chair of the USC Social Work Caucus (with Alex as his predecessor LOL), the two were destined to connect. Sparks did fly, but not in the way it happens in a Disney movie. During Alex's graduation gala, she noticed Jacob's dance moves and tall stature. At the end of the night, they found themselves in a hotel space reserved for volunteers of the event. Soon enough, Alex was already getting Jacob into trouble. She called him out in front of the room and like Cinderella, vanished into the night, leaving him to clean up the mess.

Shortly after that night, Jacob and Alex met as she was to help prepare the new caucus leaders. Jacob sternly stated he wanted to avoid her at all costs. She did get him into a world of trouble after all. So, they chatted briefly about the position and went on their way.

It wasn't until his academic year was over that he reached out to Alex on Instagram. First, he asked to be "friends" and then, as the young kids say, "slid into her DMs." Soon after, Jacob and Alex found themselves talking daily about their lives, goals, and dreams. They went on their first date and immediately knew there was something special about each other. There is even a rumor that Jacob was caught dancing in the street by the bartender after forgetting his card at the bar.

While Jacob and Alex experienced a year of bliss, they also experienced struggles during that time, too. Through this tremendous hardship, they found themselves on the receiving end of the therapeutic relationship and as clients, they worked together to create lasting interventions they use to this day with each other and in their practices.

Together, Jacob and Alexandra have reached many goals and milestones and very much look forward to their future together.

On September 23, 2023 Jacob got down on one knee and popped the question at the “Happiest Place on Earth” aka Disneyland joined by their family and friends, followed by a special dinner at the exclusive Club 33. On July 26, 2024, Jacob and Alexandra will proudly say, "I do!" to a future with likely many twists and turns, love, and pups (children and dogs). Here's to their Happily Ever After!
