Alex and Chris attended the same middle school together, meeting in the 8th grade. They were locker neighbors and talked a bit in-between classes; which progressed to exchanging phone numbers and eventually walking with each other to class. Alex and Chris kept in touch, staying close friends throughout middle school and much of high school. It wasn’t until 11th grade that Chris finally made the move to ask Alex to be his girlfriend. They attended school functions together on the weekends and made memories at the school Prom. Graduating in 2012, both made decisions for their future together. Chris got into engineering and Alex went to school to be a nurse. The new found stress knocked them down a few times, but they always managed to raise up higher. After graduating and settling in their careers, Alex and Chris wanted a puppy so they ventured out and bought a condominium. They then immediately drove down to Ohio and brought back their puppy child, Brady.

The Proposal
Saturday, January 19th arrived and it turned out to be the first heavy snow fall of the season. Ashley (Alex’s cousin) and her husband, Justin, picked Alex and Chris up and started the drive to the GM Renaissance Center for a dinner date. Two hours later they arrived. Ashley insisted that they all walk along the riverwalk to get to the restaurant. Alex was not fond of the idea, but had no other choice. When they finally arrived at the Renaissance Center, Ashley ran across the street and screamed, “Let’s take a picture in front of the river”. Alex responded with, “You’re insane, I’m freezing let’s go inside!”. Ashley refused to listen to Alex, so Alex reluctantly joined her across the street. A man walked up to Alex and asked for her name. Alex responded, and the man gave her a bouquet of roses. Alex then turned around to find Chris on one knee, asking Alex to marry him.

Now they ask you to join them down in Mexico, because it’s clear that Alex does not enjoy the cold! Alex and Chris can not wait to share this special day with those they cherish most.💗
