Fun Vermonty Stuff

Hike! Stratton Mountain is part of the Appalachian trail, which means there is some awesome hiking both on the mountain, and in the surrounding area. If this is your thing, plan to bring some shoes that can sustain all sorts of weather conditions.Bike!Bring your road bike, or your mountain bike! The trails are a blast... or so I'm told, and though the roads have seen better days, there are some really great loops in varying distances (and difficulties) we can recommend.Get your Fitness on!A day pass at the Stratton Sports Center (or whatever it's called now) is $10. They have a weight room, cardio equipment, a pool &amp; hot tub, and some other typical gym stuff. They also have some courts that can be booked for a fee, along with massages and group classes. Maybe we'll book a big yoga class for those interested... stay tuned!Shop!The Manchester Outlets are about 15 miles away from Stratton.... if you need to get your shop on, see <a href="http://www.manchesterdesigneroutlets.com/">http://www.manchesterdesigneroutlets.com/</a> for details. Pendleton and Theory are always worth a visit :)

For those of you flying in from the far reaches of the U.S... or even further, there are a number of airport options: ALB: Albany International Airport, New York (1 hour, 20 minutes away)BDL: Bradley International Airport, Hartford, Connecticut (2 hours away)BTV: Burlington International Airport, Vermont (2 hours, 20 minutes away)BOS: Logan International Airport, Massachusetts (3 hours, 30 minutes)EWR: Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey (3 hours, 50 minutes away)LGA: LaGuardia Airport, New York City (4 hours away)JFK: John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York City (4 hours away)Car rental is the easiest way to get to Stratton from any of the airports, but for those spending time in NYC first, there is Amtrak from Penn Station to Albany, and Metro North to Hartford. We will work on setting up carpools or possibly airport shuttles depending on need. Please let me or Conor know if you have any questions, or need any help planning transportation!
