Where should we fly into & passport requirements?
Athens International Airport (ATH) is conveniently the nearest airport, located only 30 minutes away from our hotel! Be sure to check the expiration date on your passport because certain countries require passports to remain valid for up to six months after travel. Some airlines do not allow you to board if you do not meet this requirement. Your passport should be renewed approximately nine months before it expires. Please see the Accommodation tab for where to stay once you land!
When should I RSVP?
As we are organizing multiple events for our wedding celebrations we ask that you RSVP as soon as you can so we can organize with our vendors. However, our official deadline is February 28th.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Unless their name is on your invitation, we ask that you do not bring any additional guests who were not formally invited.
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?
We’re excited to celebrate with our family and friends. If your child is among those invited, it will be indicated on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing this special day with you!
How do I get to the venue?
For guests who are staying at the Vincci Ever Eden, shuttles will be provided to and from the wedding. Details to come! For those who wish to drive, there is valet parking available.
If you are staying elsewhere or need a taxi at any point, there are plenty of taxi companies around, or you can use apps Uber, The Beat and Free Now. The wedding venue can also call taxis on the day at any point.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a summer formal dress code for our evening. Additionally, your dinner will be held on grass, so ladies, keep this in mind with your heels! For more information regarding dress code, see our "Events" tab!
How do I get around Greece?
If you're looking to really dive into exploration, we highly recommend renting a car. It offers unparalleled freedom to discover the nearby towns and breathtaking landscapes at your own pace. However, if renting a car isn't your preferred choice, no worries! Taxis are a popular and convenient choice. You may prefer to ask your hotel’s front desk to book you a taxi but in the event you wish to do that on your own, the Greek version of Uber is The
Beat and Free Now. You can download the app and book your taxi through the app. It is safe and always reliable!
Will I be able to easily go to the islands?
Absolutely! The Wedding Venue is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Athens International Airport, making it incredibly easy to catch flights to nearby islands and other parts of Europe! We highly recommend exploring stunning popular destinations like Paros, Crete, Milos, and, of course, Santorini for its breathtaking views. Additionally, there are two ports nearby, Piraeus and Rafina, where you can catch ferries to various islands. You can even take day trips to islands like Aegina, Hydra, and Kea. To book ferries, you can visit the official websites of the ferry companies operating in Greece, such as Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, or SeaJets, where you can check schedules, availability, and make reservations. Safe travels and enjoy your adventures!
Other Tips!
-The standard voltage in Greece is 230V vs 120V in the US so you will require an adapter/bricks that are compatible (available on Amazon). The plugs used in Greece are Type C and Type F. Type C fits into Type F but not the other way around.
-Greece is 7 hours ahead from us on the east coast (EST). So 12pm in NY is 7pm in Greece
-Most of your debit/credit cards are accepted in Greece. For cash, the best way is to exchange dollars for euros at your bank prior to leaving for Greece but keep in mind your bank might not have euros on hand so place the request a few weeks in advance. Also be sure to alert your credit card of your travels!
