Robin is Alex's beloved sister, younger by 2.5 years. She is a talented writer, poet, and spoken word artist. She is currently living in Jerusalem, and is enjoying learning Hebrew and Arabic.

Ben has known Mike since 5th grade and they have been through a lot together. From getting abandoned in NYC by their field trip, to a variety of nerdy activities, to Mike serving as Ben's Best Man. Even though they are separated by thousands of miles they have remained close friends and confidants.

Heather is Alex's wise cousin. She is an awesome lawyer working in Washington, DC. She has two beautiful children, and is a big Georgetown basketball fan.

James had the good fortune to be 3 rooms away from Mike in their freshman year of college, and then ended up rooming with him for the 7 years after graduation. As a result, he knows perhaps all of Mike's most trivial secrets.

Alexandra is Alex's best friend from high school. When they did assignments together, they would sign them "Alex^2." Alexandra is a business consultant who lives in Chicago. She loves to travel, go horseback riding, and is an accomplished soccer referee.

James and Mike lived together at Maryland for three years and Mike was integral in James's courtship of his current and wonderful wife. They survived more than their share of debate road trips and have remained fast friends even when separated by great distances. James is also slowly becoming one with nature, starting with his beard.

Nina is Alex's best friend from college. They were randomly assigned to live together freshmen year at Penn, and couldn't get enough of each other so lived together all four years. Nina is from Alaska and is working on her doctorate in philosophy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is a passionate soccer fan, and loves a good wine (especially Riesling).

Pat met Mike 10 years ago when he was assigned a cubicle just a few spots away from Mike's in their office. They worked together for much of their friendship and shared many of the ups and downs of life in consulting, including long work days and demanding clients, but also fun projects and an exciting trip together to Dubai! Beyond a common interest in energy and power markets, they share an enthusiasm for sports, where Pat has always appreciated Mike's near flawless record of choosing favorite teams (he was long ago forgiven for rooting for the Maryland Terrapins). Aside from many late nights at the office, their most glorious moments together include watching the Giants win two Super Bowls and watching the Mets win their first National League pennant in 15 years (here's to hoping for a better finish in 2016)!
