Mark and Ally's journey together unknowingly began in a freshman Physics class at the University of Minnesota. They would only interact as lab partners and, as fate would have it, didn’t cross paths again until a year later in an Industrial Engineering class. On the first day of that class, Mark saw Ally at the front of the classroom and decided to sit down next to her—something he wouldn't normally do. It was a bold move that marked the true beginning of their friendship.

Amidst the homework hangouts and group projects, they found themselves laughing together and spending way too much time with one another in the library. From study sessions that turned into long conversations, to discovering shared passions for cooking, traveling, and golfing, their connection grew stronger each day. They realized they weren't just classmates but partners in every way.

On a perfect Fall day in 2023, surrounded by the beauty of an apple orchard, Mark got down on one knee and asked Ally to spend forever together. It was a perfect moment that captured the essence of their journey: sweet, unexpected, and full of love. After all, who knew that physics and engineering could lead to such chemistry...
